Why Do I Need to Wear a Compression Garment?

Published on May 18, 2017 by

Once your Brazilian butt lift procedure is complete, it will take several months for your body to fully heal so you can see the final results of your procedure. During the first few weeks of your recovery, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Moises Salama requires that you wear a special compression garment to aid with the healing process.

The compression garment is essential for several reasons, most notably for helping to reduce the amount of swelling, bruising, and fluid buildup that occurs during the recovery period. Compression garments also help with the appearance of the skin in the areas treated with liposuction. The garments help the skin retract back into its natural position so it does not have a sagging appearance.

Dr. Salama’s goal is to ensure that your results satisfy your aesthetic needs, and compression garments are essential for ensuring this. If you want to ensure that your results satisfy your needs, contact our office to schedule a consultation.
